Hello fellow Toastmasters,

My name is Anthony Alexander and I have the privilege of being appointed as your Public Relations Manager. My job for this year is simple, to showcase the talents and endeavors of all of District 31’s Toastmasters clubs and ensure that the community knows that the clubs in our district are “the place” to grow as leaders through public speaking. I also want to unify our clubs and the communities in which they are located through means of social media, our newsletter and traditional media outlets however possible. Our district has many fantastic contributors with more than 65 years of proven success and my goal is to let the world know that Toastmasters is truly where leaders are made, especially in District 31.

I started my Toastmasters journey in May 2015 when I joined the BBH Beantown Articulators to push myself into building a skill to assist both on the job and in life. Not did my home club contribute to my growth but I’ve had the pleasure of other open clubs that have been instrumental in my success here in Toastmasters (Professional Witty Articulators and Toastmasters at the FRB – Boston, respectfully.) So far I have earned my Competent Communicator and as a result have been promoted at work, have been asked many times to represent my employer throughout our diversity networks and universities along with even partnering with other Toastmasters clubs in Europe through my employer, all while becoming recently engaged in Pawtucket, RI with our two morkies!

I truly believe that I have only scratched the surface of what Toastmasters can do for myself and truly believe in this organization as a place that can help craft any path you choose to take with public speaking.

What’s your story? Want to showcase member or club? Feel free to email me at anthony@district31.org
