Get more comfortable with public speaking and develop your leadership skills, all while having fun and meeting new people! South Coast Toastmasters Club meets online on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month, but this month we're also meeting IN PERSON at the Wareham Free Library in Wareham, MA for an Open House during "Back to School" season. What do YOU want to learn this year?
PARENTS - Now that the kids are back in school, why not do something for YOU?
Increase your self-confidence
Practice speaking up in public (in a supportive environment)
Develop your leadership skills
We meet during school hours
STUDENTS, TEACHERS: What if you're in school yourself (in any capacity)?
Learn how to improve your presentations (self-confidence shows!)
Get more comfortable participating in your classes
Show them what you know but are too afraid to say
Be a more effective teacher by learning how to communicate more effectively
RETIREES - It's never too late to learn something new!
You have a lot of wisdom and experience to share - Toastmasters provides a place to do that and have fun!
Learn how to tell your stories with humor, passion and expertise
Want to do some teaching or advocacy in your community? Learn how to present your material more clearly and effectively
EVERYONE - It's fun, it's interesting, and it's easy.
We meet just twice a month for one hour at a time
Bring your lunch if you want - we meet from 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Check us out - it's free to visit (and very inexpensive if you choose to join). As our guest, you will be able to experience a meeting firsthand and witness the professional, friendly, and supportive atmosphere. Toastmasters is about learning by doing, and members proceed at their own pace.
Some may just observe for a few meetings while others may jump right into their first speech once they become members. Typically new members begin with small roles that build confidence that lead up to their first ice-breaker speech. New members are also given a mentor to guide them through the program. Guests will be given a contact person to answer all their questions. Check out our website at https://southcoast.toastmastersclubs.org/, and “Contact Us” to let us know if you're coming, or just show up, and bring your friends and colleagues.
We hope to see you there!
