Guest to Member: Closing the Deal – Boost your club’s membership with our proven training! Learn to shift your focus from paperwork to people, fostering an environment where guests feel seen, safe, and welcomed. This training covers essential strategies, from maintaining a current online presence and prompt replies to executing a warm in-meeting experience, including assigning buddies and asking for feedback. You will master the gentle art of the “Ask” and understand the crucial follow-up steps—including clear communication on dues and a solid new member orientation plan—to ensure long-term retention and a thriving, close-knit club.

Storytelling 102 – This workshop focuses on the importance of storytelling, constructing truly meaningful stories and bringing them to life through character development techniques. You will learn why stories matter/how to unlock your own personal story, the anatomy of how to craft your own story, and how to bring your story to life through the use of: vivid details, dialogue, and physicality.

Following the instruction, the session concludes with an interactive breakout, where you will unlock a story for a Pathways project ; bring a project you are currently stuck on and practice the principle of “Show, Not Tell” with live feedback.The interactive session after initial instruction will focus on developing your everyday experiences into interesting and engaging stories that can be used as Pathways speeches. There will be an opportunity apply to what you learned to deliver and get credit for a Pathways speech and get evaluated during the session. Bring what you learn back to club members to help them formulate stories and topics to complete their the pathways projects!

D31 Pathways Survey and Initiatives – This session begins with a presentation of the District 31 education system survey results, providing a look at current perspectives on the education experience.The focus then shifts to the District’s strategic solution specifically designed to support members in successfully understanding and completing education projects. This initiative features a phased training approach, including a structured “Pathways 101 through 105” series and specialized club-level training led by a dedicated team.

What you Need to Know About Upcoming District Business Meetings – In this session, you will gain an understanding of District business meetings their purpose, and the specific procedures. We will define what a business meeting is, outline the standard topics covered, and review meeting role players such as the credentials chair and the Parliamentarian.

This session is also designed to provide you with the essential “need to know” information to understand District realignment procedures. In addition to covering information about standard business meetings, this session will also cover the differences this year with district realignment. There will be two separate business meetings for realigned districts: one for your existing district and another for the newly realigned district. You will learn about the purposes of each business meeting, who should attend, and the differences between them.
